The kids had co-op school yesterday. A new semester has begun and they are really excited about it. E is taking Cognitive Games, First Aid, Theater, and Visual Arts. There is a big group of middle school aged boys so he is making lots of friends. M is taking Yearbook, Geography, Cooking, and Theater. Even G has preschool classes throughout the day. There are probably about 30 students in the co-op from preschool age through high school. After all their classes were finished yesterday, the kids in the co-op were racing around the gym on scooters- even the big ones- and having a blast. M made the comment to me that, "this is so cool because all these kids are homeschoolers just like me!"

It's been awhile since I've updated this page. We've been really busy this month, not just with school but with life itself. It just sort of takes over sometimes and before you know it whole weeks (or months) have gone by. The snow seems to have taken over lately too. This is the second time we've been snowed in this week. The schools are all closed and I suspect everyone is cozying up under warm blankets on the couch. Of course when you homeschool, snow really isn't an excuse to stop learning. So we are still working today, but we can cozy up under blankets on the couch with our schoolbooks if we want to. We did alot of reading aloud today since the baby cooperated with a nice long nap.

During our lunch break, the kids took on a spontaneous art project while they ate. They decided to make the inside of the refrigerator come to life. Here are there illustrations. I found them very amusing and just had to share.
