Little birds must learn how to fly. We push them out of the nest and let them have a go at it. We cross our fingers and hope they don't hit the ground too hard. But what's the rush? The nest is warm and cozy. Let them stay awhile. Sometimes learning is best inside the nest.

After much thought, research, and family discussions, we made the decision to bring our two eldest "birds" back to the nest so they could learn at home. We are giving it a year to see how it goes and will re-evalute at the year's end. We have created this blog to share our family's adventure in homeschooling.

All I can say is that your blog, Robin, is a wonderful testament to the value of home schooling. How I wish our schools could be as safe, nurturing and engaging as your place. Thanks for sharing this view. Joining in with a group is a great idea to supplement their learning. You are a natural at teaching from the heart and mind!
