Homeschool On the Hill
You just can't beat this weather we've been having! Today was our first day back to school after the Thanksgiving Break and no one wanted to be cooped up in the schoolroom on such a beautiful day. So we gathered up books, papers, and supplies and headed out to the hill behind the house. We climbed to the very top and set up camp, er...I mean school. With a blanket spread out and surrounded by schoolwork, we set out to take advantage of the last of the warm days before winter sets in. We'll be putting on snowsuits and dragging our sleds up this hill before long so we thought we'd enjoy the view from up here while the grass is still (sort of) green.

That is so beautiful. That makes me want to take my kids outside somewhere for school tomorrow. Hmmm...where shall we go? I love being encouraged by my homeschooling friends. First, I read one blog tonight that encouraged me to get more excited about cooking. Then, I read another blog that encouraged me to do some weaving and stuff with the kids. Now, you have inspired me to find somewhere fun to have school tomorrow. Isn't the internet wonderful??? I'll let you know what we do :)!!!
What a cool place to have school! We did a little bit of school outside for our science unit on the senses, but nowhere near as cool as actually having school outside! You're right, though, we should take advantage of this great weather!
