Introducing Adam

Our new baby has arrived! Adam was born a little over 2 weeks ago and we've been having a great time getting to know each other. We spent the first two weeks of our babymoon in the house doing the things you do after a new baby is born. We rested, recovered, and fell in love with our new baby boy. Of course he fits right into the family, but the transition has been smoother for some than it has for others. Our two year old had a bit of a hard time at first, but now she is fascinated by him and spends a good deal of time just gazing at his sweet little face. Actually, I guess we all do that.
Today it was time to get out of the house for some fresh air and our first big outing. Actually Adam has been out already- to the doctor, out to lunch on our way home from the doctor, and even took his first trip to the hardware store already. But today was the first time I took all five kids out. The weather outside was just beautiful and the pumpkin farm is just a couple of miles down the road so we decided to go play for awhile.

Adam is relaxing in the sling as we check out the pumpkin selection and play at the farm. We also got to join with a school group and listen to their fieldtrip presentation about farm animals. It was a good day.
