Skywatching
We spent alot of time this week looking upwards. Several nights ago we watched the sky for a long time trying to catch a glimpse of the international space station. It was supposed to be visible over our area, but we weren't able to find it. We did learn alot from the NASA website about the space station and all that goes on there. We've also been watching the NASA channel on TV quite a bit lately and getting to know the astronauts on board the space station. I think it has cemented E's plan to work for NASA one day.

We also enjoyed watching the total lunar esclipse last night. It was really exciting to see. We didn't need the telescope, but tried to use it anyway to see the moon in clearer detail. The rings of Saturn were supposed to be visible as well, but unfortunately our telescope just wasn't strong enough.
