Just in case anyone starts thinking we've given up homeschooling for hiking (we are having a blast with the hiking btw), here are some more photos from the last couple of weeks:

First Grade Math: We still use those great manipulatives as often as we can for lots of hands-on Math fun!

My preschoolers are having fun too. They ask me for schoolwork almost everyday and are happy with whatever I provide. :-)

After learning all about the life and work of Mary Cassatt, we made the type of hats she liked to include in her portraits. The girls loved making (and wearing!) these.

And the big kid? He doesn't let me take many pictures of him but here's one of the scale he built for a Science experiment. More hands on learning! Gotta love it!

All that hands on learning is wonderful. Your kids are so lucky to have such a great teacher. :)

Hikes are our favorite too, when it's not raining! I love your nature-based approach to learning, it is something we put our hearts into as well.
